RSSToBlog (RSS2Blog)

RSSToBlog is a program created by Michelle ?????, and recommended by Armand Morin. It is easy to install, but the help and documentation provided is crummy. However once you understand how it works and have gotten into a groove with it, it is very easy to set up RSS feeds to your blog.

Blog Set Up

The very first thing to do is to create your Blog. Armand recommends WordPress.

Why not just find some WordPress blogs, do a view source and see how they have copied in their Adsense code there? You can then put your code into the right files on your WordPress implementation.

single.php is one . There are three other php files I change.

If this sounds too complicated you may want to get a web developer to do it for you.

How To Set Up The RSS To Blog Feed

Set up link pods, text pods and profile before project creation. I don't use link or text pods.

Link pod allows you to specify where certain keywords will link to?

Each blog needs a profile (defined where blog is and login details)

One project can post to multiple blogs

RSS2blog will rotate thru different project options such as no links, normal links etc

Message: First off, does RSS2B have a manual? I watched Michelle's videos and they seem to be more of an update for people who have used RSS2B3 than for those of us who are totally new.

My first issue is the pinging. In the video there was a section on the project page that she set up that shows fields to fill in to set up pinging, but in my project that section does not show. Why not?

The second issue is the format of the post which goes to my blog. I would prefer to have the title of the RSS news feed item above each item, but it does not appear in my current set up, and it previous settings the title has linked not to the news item but to my blog. Editing wp-content/themes/default/header.php to change header of wordpress blog, remember to change permission from 644 to 666

To get rid of blogroll links, go to the links page, check the boxes and toggle visibility.

Use options>reading to set max number of posts per page.
